Matt Damon is one of the less cringeworthy members of the US’s acting repertoire. He doesn’t make a huge fuss about his own personal life, doesn’t belong to some ridiculous cult, and paparazzi photographs don’t show him collapsing in Las Vegas at 4am giving fellatio to Jack Black. And it seems he’s a rational thinker too: from what he says in this video, he may well be an atheist.

Put simply, he tears into Sarah Palin in the video.

Matt distills the reason why freethinkers despise Palin into two sentences – this, I think, sums it up perfectly.

I really need to know if she thinks dinosaurs were around four thousand years ago. It’s important, I really need to know that: because she’s gonna have the nuclear codes.

Given that there’s a one-in-three chance that John “Still Batshit Insane, But Less So Than Sarah Fucking Palin” will die in his first term, do we really want this crackpot fundie in charge of the USA’s nuclear arsenal? She thinks going to war with Russia is a good idea, for fuck’s sake.
